About Swing Sistah Productions:

Swing Sistah is all about putting together authentic jazz dance events. etc.

Rob & Diane are considered trendsetters and leaders in the world of swing. They frequently travel all over the United States and Europe to teach and perform. They were voted the No. 1 Swing Dance instructors in the Bay Area, as noted by San Francisco Magazine, "Best of San Francisco," January 1998. They are known around the globe for their style and flair on the floor. They've been featured numerous times on both Fox and ABC television specials, as well as the PBS special with Winton Marsalis, Frankie Manning, Illinois Jacket, and Jimmy Slide on the life of Duke Ellington, "Swingin' with Duke." Perhaps you saw them on Winton Marsalises Lincoln Jazz Orchestra's year 2000 tour in the Bay Area called "For Dancers Only." What's more, they were the opening act for former President Clinton during his visit to San Francisco.

As choreographers, they've developed routines for Stanford University, several corporate videos, and numerous performances with their ten member show group, the "Swing Cats Rhythm Revue." They've worked and performed with many of the original masters of the swing era and continue to bring them to the West Coast to inspire the new generation of dancers.

In 1997, they began classes at Broadway Studios in San Francisco with just seven students. In no time, their classes developed up to 300 students a night. With Rob & Diane pulling in such large crowds and the club promoting swing with live bands, Broadway Studies was voted the Number One Swing Club by S.F. Magazine in 1998.

Now, they operate their own dance hall called "Swing Central" at the beautiful Foresters Hall in Redwood City on the Mid-Peninsula. Currently, they're hosting classes for dancers of all levels with more than 2,000 sq. ft. of floor space.

Their mission is to introduce the "Happy Dance" to as many people as possible. "We want everyone to learn how much fun this is....It's hard not to be happy, when you're "swingin' " Come and experience it yourself.
